I am directed to acquaint you that information has been received that the lengthy restrictions which have been interposed on the export of corn from Japan have been withdrawn.
I am also directed to acquaint you that the Charge d'Affaires in Japan has received orders by the mail of this day to prohibit the export of corn to any quarter, unless to a British port.
